Our Story
The Essae group, trusted since 1986
Essae-Teraoka was founded in 1986 as a joint venture between India's Essae group and Teraoka Seiko of Japan, bringing precision weighing and retail technology to Indian businesses.
The company is built on strong principles and guiding values: innovation, improvement and institutionalisation, applied consistently across every product line for nearly four decades.
In 2013, Essae launched India's first Made-in-India POS terminal. Since then the POS business has grown to 1.7M+ installations, backed by 39 branches and 430+ channel partners across the country.
